WELLINGTON COUNTY – The Community Resource Centre of North and Centre Wellington (CRC) has partnered with the Canada Revenue Agency again this year for its Income Tax Support Program.
Trained volunteers complete up to three years of tax returns to qualifying low-income families and individuals, at no cost.
“Having taxes completed and up to date is key to ensuring access to social assistance programs that, in turn, help keep families and individuals housed,” officials state in a flyer for the program.
“In 2023, our team completed 259 returns for individuals throughout Wellington County, remotely and at several tax clinics,” said CRC executive director Alyssandra Kent in an email to the Advertiser.
The CRC has tax clinics in Fergus, Mount Forest and Harriston and free transportation can be coordinated with volunteer drivers if transportation is a barrier.
