ERIN – A total of 19 community organizations will be receiving funding through the Erin Community Grants Fund.
During the March 13 council meeting, director of finance and treasurer Wendy Parr announced the 2025 grant recipients as well as the new budget.
Parr said 2025 “is the first year that the updated community grant policy came into effect, with a new upper limit of $30,000.”
Every year, the Town of Erin accepts applications from community organizations to access funds from the Community Grant budget. This year, the town received 22 applications for a total of $36,508 in grant requests.

“It’s always hard to figure out and factor in, and there were a lot more requests than money, as usual,” said councillor and committee member Jamie Cheyne. “But we did a pretty good job, and I think the results are there.”
Parr told council while everybody didn’t get the amount requested, she believes the committee was fair.
