ERIN – Erin’s Environment and Sustainability Advisory Committee (ESAC) invites residents to clean up the community on the heels of Earth Day. A garbage clean up will take place from 10am to 12pm on April 27, followed by a barbecue and raffle draw at Centre 2000.
ESAC chair Abel Page hopes the event will celebrate and raise awareness about local environmentalism.
“We’re living through a pretty dire time,” Page said, adding events such as this and Earth Day “show that we can all make a difference.”
ESAC will give away 100 trees from Wellington County’s Green Legacy Program. Vendors will be on hand from 10am to 3pm showcase green initiatives, environmentally-friendly products and children’s activities.
