Wellington North Farmers’ Market opens May 31

MOUNT FOREST - The Wellington North Farmers market is calling all vendors interested in participating in the market to get their vendor applications in as soon as possible.

The market is held Friday afternoons from 3pm to 6:30pm on King Street East at the Victory Community Centre in Mount Forest.

Opening day is May 31 with closing day on Oct. 11.

“A farmers’ market is a good opportunity for the community to connect. It allows us to buy from and support our local farmers and producers, thus contributing to our local economy,” said Wellington North economic development officer Dale Small.

The market exists because of the collaboration and support of participating vendors including, the Township of Wellington North, Wellington North Cultural Roundtable, Mount Forest Victory Church, and Taste Real.

Organizers offered a special thanks to Pastor Harry Engel of the Victory Community Church who for the sixth year is continuing on in his role of market manager.

Interested vendors are asked to contact Small at the township. Vendor applications and other information can be found at www.simplyexplore.ca

For more information contact Small at 519-838-3620 ext. 4234 or  dsmall@wellington-north.com | www.simplyexplore.ca
