Mimosa United Church offers learning opportunities at ‘Social Art’ eveningsBELWOOD - Those interested in a leisurely social experience are encouraged to try the “Social Art” evenings held at Mimosa United Church once a month beginning on Feb. 27. The evenings will continue throughout the year once a month from 7 to 9pm. Participants at the sessions will learn about water colour techniques over coffee and tea and will be encouraged to chat and get creative within a small community setting. Participants must register at least three days in advance to be sure there will be adequate supplies. Projects are suitable for ages 9 to 90 and no previous art or drawing experience is necessary. All levels of expertise or lack of expertise are welcome. A Social Art evening costs $20 per session, which includes paints, brushes, paper and light refreshments. The instructor’s time is donated and all proceeds go to mission and service. The “Social Art” night takes place at 5980 Wellington Road 26 in Belwood.
