MINTO – On behalf of Mayor David Anderson, the Town is requesting a clarification to a quote that was used twice in the Wellington Advertiser; most recently in the July 23 paper.
The quote said that “Anderson said what was happening in Minto ‘was a lack of leadership within the administrative sector of employees.’
“This quote gives an incorrect impression of the situation, has been misinterpreted and is subsequently damaging to staff,” said Clerk Marsha Paley.
“To clarify the intent of the quote, the quote should be ‘The town’s previous organizational structure with two administrators led to challenges in decision-making’ Having one administrative decision maker will assist in providing clear direction and leadership,” she said.
