MOUNT FOREST – CKNX AM920 will be hosting the 20th Annual CKNX Health Care Heroes Radiothon on Oct. 16 to help raise funds for 12 area hospital foundations, including North Wellington Health Care’s Mount Forest Louise Marshall Hospital Foundation and Palmerston and District Hospital Foundation.
“The past year and a half has served to remind us just how important it is to have access to quality health care,” hospital officials stated in an Oct. 12 press release.
Listeners can take in the broadcast all day on AM920 and cknx.ca, or catch updates on the hour on 101.7 The One and Cool 94.5.
“Listeners will hear heartwarming patient stories and descriptions of equipment needed at each participating hospital,” the release states.
The Palmerston and District Hospital Foundation has a goal to raise $125,000 for building upgrades, doors, fire alarms and signage. Support towards this project may be made by donating online at www.pdhfoundation.ca or by phoning 519-343-2030 ext. 87701.

On Oct. 16, donors can phone in a pledge during the broadcast by calling toll free 1-877-227-3486, from 9am to 4pm.
