Guelph Little Theatre’s production of The Curious Savage was nominated in several categories for yesterday’s out of festival Western Ontario Drama League awards and director Lloyd Lindsay took home the award for Best Director.
Lindsay’s previous production of Death of a Salesman also won awards at the festival two years ago.
The Curious Savage had nomination for Best Costume, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actress and Best Ensemble and garnered a special adjudicator’s award for the notable performance of the three actors who played the misbehaving adult children of the main character, Ethel Savage.
The WODL consists of over 30 community theatre groups with a combined membership of over 900. Each group in the region has the opportunity to select a play from its season line-up which is judged by a professional adjudicator.
