MINTO – A local resident has expressed disappointment with the town’s recent decision to allow retail cannabis outlets within its boundaries.
Minto resident Dale Hurlbut stated in a letter received by council on Feb. 19 that he signed a petition opposing cannabis sales and attended a public meeting on the issue hosted by the town.
“Both the meeting and the petition were against this option,” stated Hurlbut.
“I struggle … as to why the council voted against the public view. We are a family-based community in which we need to protect and serve.”
Council received the letter for information.
