Enjoy the festive season with an afternoon of old-fashioned Christmas cheer at the Wellington County Museum and Archives.
Dec. 14 from 1 to 5pm is the annual Christmas Festival.
Entertainment, baking, seasonal displays, family crafts and activities will be going on all afternoon.
This year the festivities will have a twist with a recreation of the actual Christmas Party held for residents of the Poor House in December 1914.
Based on a Jan. 7, 1915 article from the Fergus News-Record, it is known that the residents enjoyed an afternoon of music, treats and small gifts.
Christmas Festival admission is $5 per person or $12.50 per family.
The Wellington County Museum & Archives is located on Wellington Road 18, between Fergus and Elora.
