TORONTO – The GreenPAC environmental group has included Wellington-Halton Hills MP Michael Chong on its list of candidates with “track records of bold environmental leadership”.
The group said its choices of environmental champions were based on extensive consultation with political parties, sustainability experts, members of the public and a wide range of other groups.
Chong, a strong supporter of efforts to curb climate change, was one of four Conservatives on the list of 25 endorsed candidates.
“I’m pleased my work on environmental issues is being recognized,” he said.
