The Children’s Foundation has announced the launch of its online system, Sept. 5, that will make accessing financial assistance for Sports and recreation easier for families in Guelph and Wellington.
The online system is a tool for parents applying to the Children’s Foundation Grants Program. The improved application process removes the need for families to fill out a paper application each time they apply.
Parents will now have the option of creating an account on a secure website. This will provide them with the opportunity to check the status of their applications, check the balance remaining for each of their children, update their contact information at any time, upload financial information and more. Families that do not have access to a computer or the internet will still be able to access assistance through the existing application process.
“We look forward to continuing to support families in Guelph and Wellington so that all children have the opportunity to participate in valuable activities like Sports, music and camp. It is our hope that the new online system will make this opportunity even more accessible so that more kids are getting active, learning new skills and most of all having fun,” said Glenna Banda, executive director of The Children’s Foundation of Guelph and Wellington
The online system development was funded by a Healthy Communities Fund (HCF) Grant. HCF is managed by Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care, Health Promotion Division. HCF Grant Program provides non-capital funding to organizations for the delivery of integrated health promotion initiatives in communities across Ontario.
The Children’s Foundation Grants provide financial assistance for children in need so that they can participate in Sports, cultural and recreational activities. For more information, please visit www.childrensfoundation.org.
