Children’s drama club staging two productions at Fergus Grand Theatre

FERGUS – The Centre Wellington Children’s Drama Club has been preparing all year and is ready to present two shows at the Fergus Grand Theatre.

On April 5 it will stage  Season’s Greeters  at 2 and 7pm. And on April 12 the club presents Alice in Wonderland, an updated version of the children’s classic.

“The kids have been having a blast working on their comedic timing, while getting into their characters during rehearsals. They can’t wait to bring this production to life,” stated Gerard Gouthro, director of Season’s Greeters.

Katy Chapman, director of Alice in Wonderland, echoed those sentiments.

“We have been exploring this reimagined classic tale through movement, music, and elements of Greek style theatre including choral speaking and masks,” stated Chapman.

“Each actor will be taking on more than one role as Alice navigates the ever-changing neon landscape of Wonderland. Don’t be late!”

The Centre Wellington Children’s Drama Club runs a drama group for local children between grades 4 and 8.

Students participate in a variety of drama games, exercises and techniques and work toward a polished theatre performance for their school and public.

“Support these awesome kids/families and come watch their play,” officials stated.

Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for seniors and students. Visit centrewellington.ca and click on the Fergus Grand Theatre tab to book tickets.
