Chief does review

GUELPH – City Police Chief Robert Davis was scheduled to address and review recruits at the graduating class of recruits at the Ontario Police College on July 27.

The London Police Service Pipes and Drums will entertain.

Davis was to follow his speech by reviewing the cadets in the graduation march past.

This class consists of 112 recruits from police service across Ontario that included six from the Guelph Police Service. The graduation marks the successful completion for the six Guelph Police recruits in the 13-week basic recruit program at the college.

Those six recruits will return to Guelph, where they will receive an additional four weeks in-house training by the Guelph Police Training Unit.

The officers will then receive on-the-job training from coach officers for three months.
