The role of agriculture in a cap and trade system in Ontario will be discussed at the Christian Farmers Federation of Ontario 2016 Policy Tour here on Feb. 17.
The event will be held from 10am to 2pm at Husky Farm Equipment, 7440 Wellington Road 17.
The event will include a district business meeting, discussion of local issues, and lunch, followed by a “policy tour.” The discussion will focus on potential opportunities to provide carbon offsets through farming methods that sequester carbon in the soil.
