The Grand FM 92.9 celebrated its official ribbon cutting ceremony on Feb. 17, opening its studio to visitors for open house tours.
More than 100 visitors attended the afternoon and evening tours, getting a behind- the-scenes look into the sound booths and the recording equipment, including seeing the likes of disc jockeys Larry Peters, a station director, and Hilary Eastmure, the News director and morning show host.
The board of directors welcomed visitors with refreshments and cake to celebrate.
On weekdays from 6am to 7pm the Grand 92.9 will play a wide variety of music along with local News, weather, Sports, cancellations and emergency messages, and feature community guests and more.
During evenings the station will feature information and specialty programming including blues, classic rock, folk, bluegrass, country and classical music. For information, visit www.thegrand929.com.
