CENTRE WELLINGTON – A local teenager is dead following a collision here on Sunday night involving an SUV and a motor-assisted bicycle.
Emergency crews responded to the intersection of Wellington Road 19 and 2nd Line, east of Fergus, at about 7pm on Oct. 31.
Wellington County OPP officials say a teenager riding a motor-assisted bike was seriously injured when the bike collided with an SUV.
“A 15-year-old male was transported to a local hospital with life threatening injuries but was pronounced deceased,” police stated in a press release.
“The Office of the Chief Coroner was notified.”
Police have identified the deceased teen as Daniel Trafford, 15, of Centre Wellington.
