CENTRE WELLINGTON – A local man is charged with assault and sexual assault of a minor following what police are calling a “family dispute” here.
Wellington County OPP officials say officers were called to the dispute on March 31 at about 7:30pm.
“It was reported that there was a disturbance in a residence and an edged weapon was brandished,” police stated in a press release.
An 18-year-old from Centre Wellington was charged with assault, sexual assault on a person under 16, and two counts of assault with a weapon.
He is to appear Guelph court on May 26.
