OWEN SOUND – The Centre Wellington District High School (CWDHS) boys’ field lacrosse team won two and lost two at the OFSAA tournament, ending up 7th in the province.
The school’s first-ever lacrosse team won the CWOSSA title May 23 and competed in the provincial finals June 5-6.
CWDHS defeated Denis Morris (St. Catharines) 7-2 and Bill Crothers (Markham) 12-8, but lost to Neil McNeil (Scarborough) 8-6 and Owen Sound 9-8, ending up ranked 7th. Their season record was 12 wins and 3 losses.
The team thanks Zehrs, the Elora Mohawks, Royal City Ball Hockey, the OPP and the Upper Grand District School Board for sponsoring their trip to OFSAA.
