The Centre Wellington Community Foundation (CWCF) is launching its 6th mini-grant program, providing grants of up to $1,000 to local charities.
Since 2012 the foundation has provided approximately 50 grants ranging from $500 to $1,000 each.
The foundation will accept applications for 2017 mini-grants beginning April 15. Selection will be based on the same criteria as last year – the 2015 Vital Signs report. Copies of the report are available at cwcfoundation.ca/vital-signs.
Projects fitting within the foundation’s Canada 150 guidelines may qualify for additional funding.
The program also welcomes applications from local registered non-profits that are building community capacity in the priority areas of CWCF.
Grants can be used for operational or project costs; however all mini-grant applicants must be a registered charity or partnered with one.
Full application details can be found at cwcfoundation.ca/granting.
Applications are due by May 15 and grantees will be announced at a public community gathering and mini grant award ceremony in early June.
For those interested in applying for a mini-grant, an open information session co-hosted by Centre Wellington Township and CWCF will take place on April 6 at 7pm in the boardroom of the Centre Wellington Community Sportsplex in Fergus.
