Sunrise Therapeutic Riding and Learning Centre invites members of the community to attend its annual fundraising event Celebrate Sunrise on June 24 and help make a difference in the lives of local children and adults with special needs.
Celebrate Sunrise showcases the work being done by this nationally-accredited centre, and the benefits and outcomes of Sunrise’s horse-based therapy, recreation and life skills programs.
The event will include musical rides by Sunrise riders, food prepared by local chefs Steve Chaves and Moe Vidotto.
Guests will also have the opportunity to win many items in the silent and live auctions, the latter led by auctioneer Robert Milburn.
Special guests this year are Wayne MacDonald, a solo acoustic artist, SCUBA diver and glider pilot, who also happens to be a paraplegic; Tommy Hunter, “Canada’s Country Gentleman”; and Lisa Richards, of Magic 106.1 FM, who will M.C. the event.
Celebrate Sunrise! will be held from 1 to 4pm on June 24 (rain or shine) at the Sunrise farm. Tickets are $50 each.
