Celebrate Canada”™s 150th anniversary at Guelph Lake

Help plant a new 800-tree forest at the site of the future Guelph Lake Nature Centre on May 13 from 10am to 1pm.

In addition to family-friendly tree planting, this event features a traditional Aboriginal welcome and land acknowledgement, a visit from the BIOBus (a mobile research unit from the University of Guelph) and food trucks.

Stay for an interpretive tour and an opportunity to learn more about the nature centre that will attract 20,000 students and thousands of visitors each year.

Note that the new nature centre will be inside Guelph Lake Park. Admission to the park is free for this event 10am to 1pm, with voluntary donations to the new Guelph Lake Nature Centre.
