FERGUS – The Centre Wellington District High School Falcons captured their fourth consecutive District 10 girls’ hockey championship on Feb. 27 when they rallied to double the Centennial Spartans 4-2 at the Fergus sportsplex.

ELORA – The Boo Radley Project is hosting its second annual “Boospiel” curling tournament on March 16.

FERGUS – On Feb. 24, the Fergus Curling Club hosted its annual “Double Trouble” mixed doubles bonspiel.

MOUNT FOREST – The annual Masters and Seniors Bonspiel returned to the Mount Forest Curling Club following a complete ice plant failure and replacement in 2023.

PALMERSTON - The Norwell District Secondary School Varsity Girls and Boys Curling teams competed at CWOSSA in Shelburne on Feb. 27.

MINTO – A long-term plan for the grounds surrounding the Harriston-Minto Community Complex has been approved in principal by town council.

Volleyball – Centre Wellington District High School’s junior girls’ volleyball team finished the regular season in third place.

ELORA – The Elora Curling Club held its annual Women’s Bonspiel on March 2 with a theme of “Oh, Canada.”

FERGUS – The Little Rock Program at the Fergus Curling Club held its annual Jacob’s Bonspiel on March 3.

ARTHUR – The Arthur Optimists had the local community centre rumbling when they brought 365 Pro Wrestling to town on March 2.

CENTRE WELLINGTON – The Ontario Masters Provincials in Olympic Lifting was held in St. Thomas on Feb. 24, and Belinda Cox from Salem set three Ontario records at the event in snatch, clean and jerk, and total.

FERGUS – The Central Western Ontario Secondary Schools Association (CWOSSA) drew athletes from 25 schools from Hagersville, Cayuga, Brantford, Kitchener Waterloo, Cambridge, Guelph, and surrounding areas to Centre Wellington District High School (CWDHS) Feb. 21.

CENTRE WELLINGTON – Over 45 participants, ranging in age from three to 14, attended the Centre Wellington Riverhawks “Try Lacrosse” event at the Centre Welington Community Sportsplex on Family Day.
