WELLINGTON COUNTY - Wellington OPP members are participating in a one-year body-worn camera evaluation study. Police say the cameras will gather evidence and build trust and transparency between police and the public while holding both accountable.

FERGUS – A Centre Wellington District High School student was sent to the hospital after being assaulted by a fellow student, the latest incident in what students and parents say is an escalating pattern of abuse and violence targeting the school's 2SLGBTQ+, BIPOC and special needs students.

GUELPH/ERAMOSA – A personal support worker (PSW) accused of taking intimate images of a long-term care resident is facing voyeurism charges.

GUELPH-ERAMOSA – Police have identified a man that died after being struck by a vehicle here early on Sunday. Emergency crews responded to the scene on Wellington Road 124 on Sept. 26 at about 1am.

CENTRE WELLINGTON – A Kitchener man already charged with dangerous driving in an August crash that left one person dead and two others seriously injured now also faces impaired driving charges.

WELLINGTON NORTH - Wellington OPP were on the hunt for a stolen Ford F550 on Aug. 26, leading officers from Wellington North to Drayton, where the truck was abandoned by suspects who fled the area.

ELORA - The body of a deceased person was removed by emergency workers from the gorge below the David Steet bridge in Elora on Sept. 21.

MOUNT FOREST - Late in the afternoon on Sept. 19, emergency services responded to a report of a fire in the basement of a Mount Forest home.
