WELLINGTON NORTH – Police say they are investigating a death here on the weekend. Wellington County OPP officials say police officer responded to a property on Concession 7, near Kenilworth, on Nov. 26 at about 10:15pm.

WELLINGTON NORTH – Police have now identified the man who died in a single-vehicle crash here on Monday morning.

FERGUS – Centre Wellington District High School was under a "hold and secure" order for about 25 minutes on Friday afternoon in response to reports of a person near the school who may have been carrying a weapon.

BELWOOD – Local police are again warning residents about the "grandparent scam" after two Belwood seniors were each defrauded of $9,000.

ERIN – A local man has been charged with committing an indecent act following an incident here last Tuesday. Wellington County OPP officials say officers were called to Sideroad 5 in Erin at about 1am on Nov. 1.

MAPLETON – A 15-year-old was airlifted to hospital with a serious leg injury following a farm accident here on Oct. 29.

MAPLETON – The driver of a motorcycle was transported to a trauma centre with life-threatening injuries following a two-vehicle collision here on Sunday.

CENTRE WELLINGTON – A Brampton man charged last week with sexual assault now faces a total of 10 sex-related charges, four of them involving a minor.

GUELPH/ERAMOSA – Derek James Sage, 51, died in the Oct. 24 collision at the intersection of Wellington Roads 124 and 26, southwest of Ospringe, Wellington County OPP officials say.
