MINTO – While upset with damage to decorations set up for Pride Month (June), local Pride committee members are pleased with the support shown from their community in response to the vandalism.

WELLINGTON NORTH – Wellington North has hired Farhad Hossain as the township's new finance director, replacing Adam McNabb.

PERTH-WELLINGTON – Progressive Conservative candidate Matthew Rae was elected MPP for this riding in the June 2 election that saw Premier Doug Ford’s PCs expand on the majority government they held after the 2018 election.

WELLINGTON NORTH - The Ontario Energy Board approved an application from Wellington North Power to increase its rates.

MOUNT FOREST – Students are hitting the track at Wellington Heights Secondary School on June 3 for the return of the Canadian Cancer Society Relay For Life. It’ll be the first Relay For Life event held at the school in three years.

ALMA – Questions from the audience opened the door to discussions that included misinformation and references to discredited theories at a provincial all-candidates meeting here on May 31.

HARRISTON - The Minto Arts Council is presenting Faces and Life, an exhibition by Diane Morgan, at the Minto Arts Gallery.
