On Dec. 11 Wellington County OPP responded to a break-in at Sparkle Brite Car Wash on St. David Street North here.
Police say a surveillance video captured “a stocky male breaking into the business at approximately 4:30am.”
The suspect, who may have an “abnormal walk or limp,” was wearing a dark winter coat, jeans and a hood concealing a ball cap, police say.
This incident marks the third time in four months – and second in 11 days – someone has broken into the Fergus business.
In an early morning break-in on Dec. 1 a male suspect stole an undisclosed amount of cash and caused damage to the utility room.
That suspect is described as a slender man wearing a dark coat with a fur-lined hood and ball cap who was seen riding a white or light-coloured bicycle.
The third incident at Sparkle Bright Car Wash, which occurred on Aug. 12, involved four people breaking into the business and stealing its bank card reader.
