Car show – Autism Behavioural Services, located on St. George Street in Fergus, held a car show/fundraiser on April 30 and raised more than $1,531, which will be used for children’s programming, therapeutic materials and offsetting costs to families for summer camps. The weather was fine, the vintage cars showed up, and for those champing at the bit these past two years to see some sweet muscle cars, there were plenty on display.
Freya Hunter, owner of Autism Behavioural Services, said it was the father of one of her students who suggested the car show and he started spreading the word among his car club members. About 20 car owners brought their “babies” and for many it was their first opportunity to show their cars in two years.
Organizers plan on offering the car show again next year.
