Capital Paving Inc. will be hosting Farm to Fork, a fundraiser for the new Multi Use Recreational Facility (MURF) in Puslinch community park on Aug. 30 from 2 to 5pm.
All proceeds from the afternoon event will be presented to the Puslinch Optimist Club in order to help the MURF become a reality. Farm-to-Fork will be the largest fundraising effort towards the project to date, with help from corporate sponsorship and local donations.
Once built, the facility will be a place for sporting activities including, hockey, basketball, roller skating, local farmers’ market, fall fairs, and weddings in the summer. There will also be a year round indoor gymnasium for residents of all ages.
The Puslinch Optimist Club identified the township’s need for such a facility years ago, and now is going all out in making the concept become a reality.
Optimist Club President, Ken Williams recognized Capital Paving Inc. on July 24 for its fundraising efforts for the project through its coming Farm to Fork event.
“I would like to present Geoff Stephens and the rest of the Capital Fundraising Team with this plaque in recognition of their efforts through hosting the Farm to Fork event, and in helping this dream become a reality,” said Williams Friday afternoon.
Capital president Stephens said, “The Capital management team and employees recognize the township’s need for the MURF and will continue to work hard in making it happen.”

Farm to Fork”will be a decadent afternoon event. Attendees will enjoy locally grown food donated by farmers and prepared by top culinary talent from local restaurants. Refreshments will include some top local wineries and micro breweries. Guests will be entertained by a variety of talented local musicians.
