Candian Poultry XPO cancelled

STRATFORD – The 2020 Canadian Poultry XPO (CPX) has been officially cancelled.

The CPX management team announced the decision Aug. 5, after consultation with the Stratford Rotary Complex staff, Stratford Mayor Dan Mathieson, Huron Perth Public Health Medical Officer of Health Dr. Miriam Klassen and provincial officials.

“It with great sadness that the 2020 Canadian Poultry XPO (CPX) will be cancelled,” organizers state in a press release.

“This final decision was ultimately made by government and health officials with significant parameters around largescale events/gatherings.”

“As Canada’s largest poultry stage attracting international interest, our first and foremost priority is for the health and safety of our poultry farm families, poultry industry, team CPX and the residents of Stratford. Our second priority is the sustainability for CPX, ensuring we can operate and grow to benefit poultry farm families and the poultry industry for the next 100+ years.”

Fees

All exhibitors and sponsors will receive a 10 per cent interest payment on any exhibitor and/or sponsorship fees paid towards CPX 2020.

2021 date

“The Canadian Poultry XPO is Canada’s presentation to the global poultry industry and we look forward to the extra momentum behind innovation, education and networking now set for CPX Nov. 3 to 4, 2021,” at the Stratford Rotary Complex, organizers state.

CPX officials are also reminding exhibitors and sponsors that payments for exhibit space and sponsorship for CPX 2020 now carry forward to CPX 2021.
