CANADA DAY: Don red and white for Canada”™s 151st

Fresh off celebrating the nation’s 150th year since Confederation, local communities are back to celebrate the nation’s  151st birthday.

The celebrations in Arthur are spread over three days – June 29 to July 1 – and will take place at the Arthur fairgrounds.

Friday

On Friday, the celebrations start with the annual 3-pitch tournament that continues all weekend.

Sarah Smith takes the stage leading the pavilion dance from 8:30pm to 12:30am.

Saturday

Grab your sneakers and get moving for a good cause in the sixth annual Get In Touch For Hutch 1km and 5km walk/run at 9am.

The festivities continue with more 3-pitch and a horse shoe tournament that starts at 1pm.

Change into your dancing shoes for a DJ-led pavilion dance from 9pm to 1am.

Fireworks take place at dusk.

Sunday

Sunday is for the family with the annual family and business 3-pitch tournament.

Sherlock Gnomes is playing during the open air family movie night, starting at approximately 9:15pm.
