Mapleton’s Canada Day celebrations are taking shape.
CAO Patty Sinnamon reported at the May 26 council meeting that plans include a barbecue, entertainment including a performance by the band Settler’s Creek and a kiddie parade with bicycles decorated in a Canada Day theme.
“I think it’s shaping up to be a really good event … there are a lot of activities that are going to be happening so we’re pretty excited about that,” said Sinnamon.
July 1 events at the Drayton Fairgrounds will begin at 6pm with a fireworks display scheduled to begin at 10pm.
