Canada Day always special in Arthur

It’s going to be an exciting weekend in Canada’s Most Patriotic Village from July 1 to 3.

Starting Friday afternoon will be men’s three-pitch and mixed three-pitch tournaments, beer gardens and chip wagon.

From 9pm to 1am there will be a pavilion dance featuring Dan Howler.

On Saturday the activity continues with more men’s three-pitch and mixed three-pitch games.

It also marks the Fourth Annual #GetInTouchForHutch event. The 1km and 5km walk/runs begin at 10am. The Guelph Storm Summer Street event takes place from 10am to 3pm.

Later that evening from 9pm to 1am will be a pavilion dance with a DJ. There will also be beer gardens and a chip wagon.

On Sunday the action continues with a free afternoon swim and annual family and business three-pitch tourney.

Kids activities run from 2 to 5pm, including the Tiger Paw Exotics Petting Zoo. Musical entertainment from 1 to 4pm is by The Collection.

The Arthur Canada Day draw will also be held Sunday. The grand prize is a mower, second prize is a brush cutter and third prize is a chainsaw.

There is also a horseshoe tournament offered on Saturday afternoon at 1pm.

Events will take place at the Arthur fairgrounds.
