GUELPH – To kick off Mental Health Week, the Community Resilience Coalition of Guelph and Wellington is raising awareness by launching the Building Connections for Resilient Kids campaign.
The campaign includes the launch of short, animated videos that will be released through the month of May.
Each video shares a story from a Guelph-Wellington community member, submitted anonymously, about an adult who had a positive, lasting impact on their life during childhood.
The coalition is working to share their message through Guelph-Wellington schools and inviting community members to submit their own stories, using creative approaches to storytelling, such as a video, audio, art, music, poetry or a short story.
Stories can be submitted online at www.communityresilience.ca or shared on social media by tagging the Community Resilience Coalition.
Submissions will be shared on the Community Resilience Coalition’s social media channels and as part of an online gallery.
The coalition is a group of 12 partner organizations that envisions a resilient community that prevents and reduces the effects of adverse childhood experiences. For more information visit www.communityresilience.ca.
