PUSLINCH – On Dec. 28 at about 3:55pm Wellington County OPP officers investigated the male driver of an SUV that attempted to evade a RIDE program on Maddaugh Road near Highway 6 here.
Police say officers detected the odour of suspected burnt marijuana inside the vehicle and also observed a child in the back seat.
A Cambridge man, 35, was charged with unlawful purchase of cannabis and driving while suspended.
Constable Josh Cunningham said the man’s name “had to be withheld due to the fact the it might identify a young person and that it was a very small amount cannabis.”
