WELLINGTON COUNTY – Crime Stoppers Guelph Wellington is partnering with Home Hardware stores in May for its annual spring mulch sale fundraiser.
The fundraiser launches on May 4 at the Guelph Home Hardware on Wellington Street, where $2 from every bag of mulch purchased will be donated to the local Crime Stoppers. Volunteers will be available 9am to noon to lift and load the mulch into vehicles.
The remainder of May, JL’s Home Hardware will donate $1 to Crime Stoppers from every bag of mulch purchased at one of its Guelph stores, 545 Wellington St. W., 295 Grange Rd., and 1027 Gordon St.
Young’s Home Hardware, located in Mount Forest is also taking part in the fundraiser on May 11, from 9am to noon. Bags of mulch will be sold for $6 each, with the entire $6 going to support Crime Stoppers.
Donations help pay for rewards to tipsters who might otherwise be reluctant to provide information about a crime. Funds are also used in crime-prevention promotion and education. For more information, visit csgw.tips.
