On June 29, Wellington County OPP responded to a report of stolen batteries from Elliot Coach Lines in Fergus.
Police say that sometime overnight someone removed and stole 21 batteries (each valued at $80 and most branded with the word “International”) from seven buses.
“The buses also had ‘clean power cables’ removed from them,” police stated in a press release, adding it will cost the company about $3,000 to get the buses working again.
Police are asking anyone with information to contact the Wellington County OPP or Crime Stoppers.
