FERGUS – Calling all Bee Gees fans!
Brothers Gibb: The Bee Gees Story is coming live to the intimate Fergus Grand Theatre for a one night only show on Nov. 19 at 8pm.
Brothers Gibb: The Bee Gees Story celebrates the entire career of the band, from their earliest days as Australian hit makers, to their chart topping, world-wide success with Saturday Night Fever during the disco heyday of the 1970’s.
Presented by Canada’s premier producer of musical tribute shows, Bill Culp Productions, this brand new, theatrical presentation celebrates the incredible legacy of Barry, Robin and Maurice Gibb.
With over 220 million albums sold, the Bee Gees are one of the best-selling artists of all time, and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1997.
With a talented cast including the dynamic trio of Bruce Tournay, Michael Danckert and Drew Chester, who truly capture the distinctive lead and harmony vocals of the Brothers Gibb, you’ll hear all of your favourite Bee Gees hits including To Love Somebody, Words, Gotta Get a Message to You, How Can You Mend a Broken Heart, Lonely Days, Jive Talking, Nights on Broadway and of course, Stayin’ Alive amongst the many song highlights.
As a bonus, the talented troupe also performs a heartfelt tribute to younger brother Andy Gibb, and also adds in a few musical surprises by showcasing songs written by the Brothers Gibb, but made famous by other artists, such as Islands in the Stream by Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton.
Brothers Gibb: The Bee Gees Story is an audience interactive show, and the cast will also be available for a special “meet and greet” with the crowd after the performance.
Show producer Bill Culp notes “I grew up listening to the music of the Bee Gees in the 1970’s, and am a long-time fan. When I first heard the unique vocal blend of Bruce, Mike and Drew at rehearsal, backed by an amazing live band, I knew that we had created a truly wonderful combination that would pay tribute to the music of the Bee Gees.”
