A 12-year-old boy faces mischief and assault charges after he allegedly shot a pellet gun at a woman and a passing vehicle.
On May 22 Wellington County OPP received a report of a pellet gun being used to shoot out the window of a van on King Street in Palmerston.
Police say a man was driving southbound on King Street when he noticed two people on the side of the road wearing camouflage clothing.
“They were holding what … was later determined to be a pellet gun,” police stated in a press release.
“The back window of the victim's Dodge minivan was then shot out. The victim stopped and returned to the location, saw the two parties and called police.”
Police say a woman working outside her home on King Street was also hit by a pellet.
A 12-year-old boy from Palmerston was charged with mischief and assault with a weapon.
