Bowie tribute comes to Fergus

FERGUS – The Fergus Grand Theatre is set to host The Bowie Lives: A Bowie Spectacular – Canada’s Sensational Tribute to David Bowie.

Fergus is bringing back Bowie on Nov. 30.

The show begins at 7:30pm and features Michaele Bell as Bowie.

An award-winning vocalist, Bell discovered Bowie as a teen and performed his songs with a number of bands.

By the 1980s his first theatrical production “ChangesAllBowie” toured the “A circuit” before hanging it up in the early 1990s.

Decades passed and after Bowie’s untimely death in 2016, Bell found his calling had returned: honouring the man who helped shape his life.

Together with musical director Michael Beauclerc, they began auditioning players to fill out a band capable of performing some of rock’s most challenging material.

The Bowie Lives brings all Bowie’s hits to the stage, from “Space Oddity” to “Lazarus,” and everything in between.

The Bowie Lives pre-show includes the “Bowie Bazaar,” T-shirts, collectibles, LPs and DVDs, and more.

Officials are encouraging attendees to come dressed as their favorite David Bowie persona or wear their favorite swag – and be rewarded.
