Timing is everything when blood is needed and for O-negative donors, it often comes down to seconds. Canadian Blood Services encourages Centre Wellington residents make blood donation part of their seasonal plans with the first clinic of the spring and summer season just around the corner on May 21, from 2pm to 8pm at the Centre Wellington Community Sportsplex.
While there is a continuous need for all blood types, there is always a greater need for the “universal donor”—blood donors with O-negative blood. It is the only blood type that is compatible with all others.
