Big Night Out gala supports Big Brothers Big Sisters

ELORA – The Big Night Out Gala, hosted by Big Brothers Big Sisters Wellington County, is set to take place on March 25 at the GrandWay Events Centre here.

The 2023 Gala is presented by RLB LLP and MFC Lawyers.

The theme of the night, GEMS for Jewels, highlights the GEM (Giving Every Month) program and the donors who provide funding and opportunities for Centre Wellington’s youth, who are the organization’s jewels.

The event will bring together community members and local businesses to raise funds and awareness for the organization’s mission of providing mentorship and support to children and youth in Wellington County.

The evening will feature a variety of entertainment, including music, games, dancing, a silent auction, and a delicious three-course dinner.

Guests are encouraged to “break out the bling and jewel-toned attire.”

“I am truly excited for this years’ Big Night Out gala. I am excited to experience the event in my new role as executive director and continue to develop relationships in the community of Centre Wellington,” executive director Brad Mulligan stated in a press release.

“While we understand that there are many factors that are currently impacting our economy and ‘giving,’ it’s exactly why support for our organization is more important now than ever before.”

Studies have shown how marginalized children are disproportionally affected by poorer economic times, and that is true at Big Brothers Big Sister as well, Mulligan said.

Individuals or businesses interested in supporting the event can contact Victoria Sookram at victoria.sookram@bigbrothersbigsisters.ca or 519-787-0106 ext.221.

Tickets cost $150 per person and can be purchased at centrewellington.bigbrothersbigsisters.ca. Doors open at 5:30; meal begins at 7pm.
