Big Chill events in Guelph and Rockwood

Big Chill events in Guelph and Rockwood offer plenty of winter fun.

There’s lots of cool things to do at the Big Chill Outdoor Fun Days scheduled at two GRCA locations on Family Day, Feb. 16.

From old-fashioned skating on a frozen lake to horse-drawn wagon rides and ice fishing, the day offers plenty of ways to enjoy winter weather.

·         Activities include skating, horse-drawn wagon rides, dog sled races, snowshoeing, food trucks, feed the chickadees and more.

Rockwood Conservation Area, 161 Falls St., Rockwood

·         9 a.m. to dusk

·         Free admission. Donations will be accepted for development of trails within the park.

·         Activities include skating, horse-drawn wagon rides, a campfire, and snowshoeing.

The Big Chill is an event hosted by the Grand River Conservation Foundation to highlight its project to raise money for a new Guelph Lake Nature Centre building. The event is being sponsored by Richardson GMP – McGrath Tenpenny Wealth Management Group; Miller Thomson; Linamar, Fusion Homes,  RBC Rockwood Branch and Re/Max Connex Realty.
