Big changes for Friends of the Guelph Public Library Big Book Sale

GUELPH – The Friends of the Guelph Public Library is hosting this year’s annual Big Book Sale slated for Sept. 19 to Sept. 22 at a new, larger location at 440 Elmira Road North.

This year hardcover books will be priced at $4, trade paperbacks at $3 and mass market paperbacks at just $1, organizers say.

All children attending the sale will be able to choose one free book.

For the first time, both cash and debit payments will be accepted.

The final date to donate items to this year’s sale is Sept. 9.

Books, DVDs, vinyl records, puzzles and games for all ages in good, sellable condition are being accepted at four locations including three Guelph Public Library locations – the main library, the Westminster Square and East Side branches during open hours.

Donations can also be dropped off at 440 Elmira Road, North, Guelph, during the following hours: Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays from 10am to 1pm; and Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6pm to 9pm.
