Heart and Stroke’s Big Bike rides in Arthur and Mount Forest are gearing up to traverse local streets and roads again.
Wellington North council responded positively to the request by Dennis Lever, operations chairman (volunteer) for Big Bike Guelph and Wellington.
In his email to council, he noted that last year Wellington North passed resolutions granting permission for the two Big Bike rides in the municipality.
Lever has already met with Gary Mathews, of Wellington North’s public works department, to ensure the ride would avoid construction in Mount Forest.
Council was also provided with maps of the intended routes for this year’s ride.
Mount Forest’s Big Bike ride is slated for June 4, while Arthur’s is on June 9.
Councillors had no objections to endorsing a resolution granting permission for the two events.
