The Guelph Little Theatre presents Beyond a Joke, by Derek Benfield opening on March 19, at 8pm and running March 20, 21, 26, 27, 28, April 2, 3, 4 with a 2pm matinee on March 29.
It’s summertime and the going is easy except at Jane and Andrew’s pleasant, but accident-prone country house where several people have already died in unfortunate and embarrassing accidents.
When Geoff, their daughter’s boyfriend, arrives for the weekend he is unaware of the house’s reputation and from a conversational confusion he gets the idea that the deaths were due to something more sinister than accidents.
The comedy is directed by Henry North. Cast members are Mike Rochford, Trish Starodub, Brad Finch, Janelle Shortreed, Tracy Biggar, Steven Liebig, and Rob Gray.
All murder mystery sleuths are invited to solve the mystery of mistaken deaths found in cupboards and gardens in Beyond A Joke.
