Centre Wellington will be spending just over $87,500 to replace the roof of the Belwood Hall.
Councillors accepted the decision of its tender awards committee to award the work to the responsive bidder, O’Brien Fabrications Ltd., of Guelph, in the amount of $87,590 excluding HST.
Managing director of corporate services (treasurer) Wes Snarr explained the replacement of roofing for Belwood Hall also involves some structural reinforcements and that the tender is $5,015 under budget.
The township purchasing bylaw allows a tender award committee to award tenders up to $1 million within budget allocations.
Work on the project is expected to be completed by the end of November.
