New church windows dedicated – Barrie Hill United Church on Wellington Road 29, built in 1832, held a dedication of two new church windows recently. From left, Rev. Lynn Hamilton is joined by members of the Cargo family, Susan Yates from Lethbridge, Glen Froom, Kathy Chris from Toronto, Chris and Matthew Curran, Laurie Cargo who arranged the event, Bill Yates from Alberta, Cara Cargo-Froom and Julie and Christian Curran. The family members dedicated the windows in memory of Ted and Fran Cargo and their uncle George. In 1960, the Cargo family sold property for the new church manse beside the church for one dollar and provided support to ministers over many years.
