New space - The Drew Community Committee has been busy this spring. Alongside some neighbours and friends who also volunteered their time and services, the committee has rebuilt and updated the Drew pavilion. Taking down everything but the roof, the workers installed new fixtures inside, including two new bathrooms, all new ceilings, new lighting and steel siding. The project was needed to pass the food and health inspection for the committee’s annual barbecue. The barbecue over the years has allowed the Drew hall, pavilion and ball diamond to keep going, as well as help members of the community in times of need. This year’s barbecue proceeds will support the pavilion renovations. The event will be held at the Drew Pavilion on July 13, serving supper from 5 to 7pm with live music. Tickets are $15 for adults and $7 for children, and are available from Drew Community Committee members. Photo by Patrick Raftis
