The Canada Post office in Ballinafad is temporarily closing, says the Town of Erin in a press release.
The postmaster is retiring and the office will shut down while Canada Post is searching for a replacement.
In the meantime, the affected customers will receive their mail through a community mailbox.
The mailboxes have been installed at the side of the parking lot of the Ballinafad Community Centre (the current post office location) and were operational as of June 4.
Affected customers are encouraged to use the Erin Post Office for full Canada Post service, located at 83 Main Street, Erin. Those with questions or concerns can contact Canada Post customer service at 1-800-267-1177.
